Happy Imbolc and Groundhog Day with Super Saved Seeds
In Keltic tradition Imbolc is considered the beginning of spring as it falls between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. But this year according to most of the groundhogs (and lobsters) on Turtle Island (aka North Amerika), there will be at least six more weeks of winter! But there are no groundhogs on the coast of BC...
Here on Luckyfarm77, we are surely getting ready for spring planting. Linda has put together Super Saved Seed packages for sale at the Sointula Community Market Stand.
The packages are $4/each and each contains at least 60 locally saved organic seeds. These exciting seeds include:
- Five Varieties of Tomatoes (Red Cherry, Red Roma, Yellow Cherry, Red Classic, and Black Cherry)
- Two Varieties of Sweet Pepper (Hungarian Cheese and Belcanto Sweet Italian)
- Cantaloupe (Minnesota Midgets)
- Celery
- Mustard Greens (Wasabi for snappy salads)
- Butternut Squash
Each package also includes planting instructions printed on the back.
Fuzzy the Cat really thinks these seeds are great and she sure loves the display!
Great photos! Happy Spring Linda and Petr! Greetings from Squamish!
